Cold exposure has moved from niche to mainstream, and with that has come a great deal of overstatement. It is worth separating the experience from the claims.
In practice, a cold session is short, guided and largely about breathing. The first thirty seconds are the hardest; the rest is a matter of settling.
People choose cold exposure for different reasons — a sense of alertness, a recovery habit after training, or simply the discipline of doing something difficult early in the day.
What matters most is that the session is supervised and appropriate for you. Cold exposure is not suitable for everyone, and suitability should be discussed with the VAURA team before your first visit.
